Where we have room

January openings, and a waitlist for babies

As of October 31, 2026, here is what’s open. If your child’s room is full, joining the waitlist is free and we call families in the order they joined.

  • Herons (pre-K): 3 openings now
  • Dragonflies (ages 2½ to 4): 1 opening now, 1 from January 4
  • Tadpoles (toddlers): 2 openings from January 4
  • Minnows (infants): waitlist, about 8 to 10 months

Four rooms

A room for every stage, from 6 weeks to pre-K

Each room has its own teachers, its own ratio and its own pace. Children move up when they’re ready.

  • A baby’s small hand holding an adult’s thumb

Minnows, 6 weeks to 15 months

Babies follow their own schedules, with one teacher to four babies and a note home about every feeding, nap and diaper.

    About Minnows
  • Hands standing wooden blocks on end in a long row

Tadpoles, 15 months to 2½ years

Blocks, water, songs and the first words in English and Spanish, with one teacher to five toddlers.

    About Tadpoles
  • Hands holding brushes over a watercolor set and jars of water

    Dragonflies, 2½ to 4 years

Play-based preschool: art, stories, pretend play and lots of outdoor time, one teacher to eight children.

    About Dragonflies
  • A wooden counting frame with colorful beads numbered one to ten

    Herons, pre-K (4 to 5 years)

Counting, letters, writing names and getting along in a group, in a room made for the year before kindergarten.

Food

Breakfast, lunch and snack are in the tuition

Hattie cooks every meal in our kitchen, from scratch, and the menu goes up each week. We handle allergies with each family in the enrollment packet and a written plan, and we keep those details off this website.

  • A hot lunch every day
  • Fresh fruit or vegetables at every snack
  • A nut-aware kitchen, with each allergy plan posted

Coming up

Open houses and info nights are for families deciding on care. Reserve a spot so we can set out enough chairs.

What parents say

  • ★★★★★
“We toured four centers. Pocket Creek was the one that gave us numbers: who’s in the room, how many children, what a week costs. Joy noticed things about our daughter before we did.”

  • ★★★★★
“Pick-up is calm. Someone always greets me by name, checks my ID the first weeks and tells me one real thing about the day. It was never “he had a good day.””
Andre W.Parent of a preschoolerReview on Google
  • ★★★★★
“The waitlist call was honest: about nine months for an infant spot, and she told me which two centers in town to try in the meantime. We got a call in seven.”
